On November 4 and 5, Málaga hosts the third edition of Expo AgriTech, the technology fair for the agricultural sector, which will bring together more than 8,000 agricultural professionals and 217 exhibiting firms. The event, held under the slogan "Transforma tu campo, impulsa tu futuro", will present 604 innovations aimed at a more precise, efficient and connected agriculture, as detailed by the organization. Among the proposals on display are tractors and advanced agricultural machinery, drones for applying treatments and monitoring crops, autonomous spraying robots and systems that adapt applications to the volume of vegetation. Water management is another central axis, with remote sensing technologies to detect water stress, artificial intelligence solutions that adjust irrigation according to crop needs and electricity prices, high-performance pumps and nanobubbles. Added to this are digital tools to centralize farm management, biotechnological systems to produce beneficial microorganisms in the field and solutions to analyze the biological health of the soil and measure stored carbon.

AgriTech 4.0 Congress and awards

Within the framework of the fair, the AgriTech 4.0 Congress will be held, bringing together more than 300 experts to address challenges such as geopolitical uncertainty, rising production costs, the impact of extreme weather phenomena and the need to promote generational renewal. The program will strengthen content on artificial intelligence, data economy, automation and precision agriculture, with experiences from companies and producers such as Unica, Moyca, Grupo AN, Trops, Fresón de Palos, IberoPistacho, Freshuelva, CASI, Reyes Gutiérrez and Primaflor, among others. The congress will also host the Forum of Innovative Agricultural Regions, with regional leaders from Cataluña, the Comunitat Valenciana, Madrid, Andalucía and Murcia, and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, will be in charge of closing it. The fair will also present the second edition of the Premios Chaleco Agricultor, organized together with ASAJA, and the AgriTech Innovation Awards 2026, and will host the AgriTech Startup Forum and the AgriHack Sprint de La Vega Innova. As a novelty, ASAJA will hold the Premios Nacionales Joven Agricultor 2026 within the framework of the event. The event, organized by NEBEXT, has the support of the Consejería de Agricultura, Pesca, Agua y Desarrollo Rural de la Junta de Andalucía and of European Funds. The organization estimates that its holding will generate an economic impact of more than 10 million euros.
