The sixth edition of the Ruta de la Tapa de Rincón de la Victoria will be held from November 13 to 22 with 31 hospitality establishments spread across
La Cala del Moral, Rincón de la Victoria, Torre de Benagalbón and Benagalbón. Each venue will offer a tapa designed for the occasion at a single price of 4 euros, with a drink included to choose from a small beer, soft drink or water. Participants will be identified with a badge on the door.
Among the offerings are the Tartaleta de La Caleta, with Malaga-style ajoblanco emulsion, fig and grape jam and sardine; the Jábega rinconera, a puff pastry cone with creamy avocado and mojama; the Málaga sausage meatballs in muscatel; the cod fritter with Frigiliana honey, and the Trilogía de la Axarquía, which brings together La Caleta prawn, goat and anchovy.
A jury from the gastronomic sector will anonymously visit the establishments over the ten days and award three prizes: 1,000 euros and a trophy for first place, 700 euros and a trophy for second place and 500 euros and a trophy for third place. The public will also choose their favourite tapa, which will receive the Premio del Público, endowed with 500 euros and a trophy. In total 3,700 euros will be distributed: 2,700 for the winning establishments and 1,000 in five voucher books of 200 euros to be raffled among customers.
To be eligible for the voucher books you must collect the tapaporte at any participating restaurant or at the Oficina Municipal de Turismo and gather the stamps of four different establishments, located in at least two different population centres. You must also vote for your favourite restaurant, fill in your personal details (first name, surnames and telephone) and deposit the tapaporte in the ballot boxes provided at the venues or at the Oficina de Turismo
before November 22. Each valid tapaporte is one entry and as many as you like may be submitted, and prizes are not cumulative. Each voucher book consists of four vouchers of 50 euros redeemable at four different restaurants until February 28, 2027. The draw will be held at the Ayuntamiento alongside the prize-giving ceremony.
The restaurants and their tapas can be found in the
digital guide on Google Maps, which has accumulated 383,018 visits over the six editions, and the rules are on
the Turismo website. The initiative is organised by the Concejalía de Turismo del Ayuntamiento de Rincón de la Victoria with the collaboration of the Asociación de Comerciantes y Empresarios de Rincón de la Victoria (ACERV).
