Rincón de la Victoria adds 10,205 British tourists up to October
The municipality receives 10.8% more visitors from the United Kingdom than in the same period of 2025 and the Cueva del Tesoro raises its British visits by 40.6%.
Rincón de la Victoria has received 10,205 British tourists between January and October 2026, 10.8% more than in the same period of the previous year, when there were 9,212. With these figures, the United Kingdom consolidates as the municipality's second international market and the first from outside the European Union, as reported by the Ayuntamiento.
The greatest advance is recorded at the Cueva del Tesoro, the only cave of marine origin open to visitors in Europe. The cave has received 8,606 British visitors in the first ten months of the year, compared with 6,120 in the same period of 2025, which represents an increase of 40.6%.
At the Cueva de la Victoria, open to the public under a speleological tourism model, the United Kingdom is the leading international market, with 365 visitors up to October, ahead of France (260) and Germany (250). At Villa Antiopa, which houses one of the best Roman mosaics discovered in the province of Málaga, the United Kingdom recorded 349 visits, practically the same as Germany (357).
Germany remains ahead across the destination as a whole
Across the municipality as a whole, the United Kingdom ranks behind Germany (13,448 visitors up to October) and ahead of Italy (9,931), Poland (7,762), France (7,275) and the Netherlands (6,107).
These data are released to coincide with World Travel Market London, held from November 3 to 5 at the ExCeL centre in the British capital. The municipality's presence at the fair is part of the «Más Allá del Verano» strategy, which under the international slogan «Beyond Summer» presents Rincón de la Victoria as an alternative within the Costa del Sol with historical heritage as its main attraction. The action is completed with a digital promotion campaign aimed at the British public and a circuit of 60 digital screens over four days on London public transport.
During the three days of the fair, the municipal delegation will hold meetings with British tour operators and agencies specialising in cultural and nature tourism, with the aim of expanding the destination's presence in their travel catalogues.
