Unicaja falls to Real Madrid in the final of the Torneo Costa del Sol
The Málaga team lost 74-113 in the third and decisive match of the XV Torneo Costa del Sol, after a close first quarter that tilted in favour of the whites from the second period onwards.

The first quarter was hard-fought. Real Madrid started scoring with Luwawu-Cabarrot, but Unicaja did not lose focus on the game and managed to take the lead with a three-pointer by Kendrick Perry (7-5). The visiting team's outside shooting and Sarr's points flipped the scoreboard (9-13), although Cameron Hunt returned the advantage to the Malaga side with several baskets, reaching a maximum of (22-17). An exchange of baskets closed the first quarter with 27 to 25 in favor of Unicaja.
The match changed in the second quarter. Real Madrid pushed with an accurate Campazzo (29-34) and Unicaja began to miss shots, unable to stop Tavares or overcome the white team's defense. The visiting team's lead kept growing until reaching halftime with a 36 to 55 favorable to Real Madrid.
In the second half, the gap kept growing. Luwawu-Cabarrot's free throws and baskets extended the lead beyond twenty points, and Unicaja failed to contain Real Madrid, who reached the end of the third quarter with a 50 to 80, with Maledon as the standout player for the white team.
In the last quarter, Real Madrid kept its outside shooting sharp and continued extending the difference. Perry's and Djedovic's three-pointers brought some joy to the Malaga fans, who kept cheering despite the result. The match ended with a Real Madrid victory by 74 to 113, a title that gives them the XV Torneo Costa del Sol.
Willy Hernangómez was Unicaja's standout player, with eleven points, five rebounds and eighteen in efficiency rating.
