Unicaja faces La Laguna Tenerife on Thursday in Rincón de la Victoria

Unicaja plays this Thursday, September 10, at 20:00, a preseason match against La Laguna Tenerife at the Pabellón Rubén Ruzafa in Rincón de la Victoria. The match, broadcast by 101 TV and Unicaja Baloncesto Radio, is part of the XV Torneo Costa del Sol.
For Unicaja's coach, Txus Vidorreta, this is a special match: it is the first time he faces La Laguna Tenerife since leaving the Canary club last summer, an entity where he spent ten seasons. As he has explained, he reunites with players such as Marcelinho Huertas, Bruno Fitipaldo, Jaime Fernández, Aaron Doornekamp, Tim Abromaitis and Gio Shermadini, as well as with his former coaching staff.
Vidorreta has pointed out that this is «a preparation match» and that it will gain relevance later, when Unicaja faces La Laguna Tenerife in the second round of the Liga and, afterwards, when it plays at the Santiago Martín pavilion.
Regarding the squad, the coach has confirmed the already known absences of Tyler Kalinoski and Yannick Nzosa, the latter with an injury that affects the team's interior rotation. For that reason, Daniel Giddens joins the match, a player who is taking part in the team's preparation. Vidorreta has added that the team «is building itself defensively» and that it has a clear idea of attack, although it needs time to acquire automatisms.
