On Saturday, September 26, the seventh edition of the Young Designers Contest EDM (Estepona de Moda) will be held, open to participants from all over the country. The eight selected finalists -Alba García Palomares, Javier Millán Lería, Jorge Campos Cotos, Vanessa Santos Gavira, Nazaret Fernández Morillo, Diego Barroso Morales, Lucía Cacabelos Rodríguez and Blanca Cela Jurado- will showcase their collections in a fashion show presented by Miguel Toledo and the presenter Rocío Madrid, with music by DFlow Dance.
The jury, chaired by the Councillor for Culture and Festivities, Macarena Diánez, is made up of photographer Juanchy García, make-up artist Maxi Galván, model Carmen Serrano, fashion historian Carlos Sánchez de Medina, and designers Gustavo Alted and Bruno Langarica.
The winner will receive 1,000 euros and a trophy, the runner-up 500 euros and a trophy, and the third-place finisher 300 euros and a trophy. The City Council will also award five special mentions of 200 euros each. Admission is free, and attendees will be given a commemorative item marking the event's tenth anniversary, while supplies last.
