The Museo de Arte de la Diputación de Málaga (MAD) in Antequera opened on Friday, October 2, 2026 the exhibition "Eres feliz y no lo sabes", by the painter Cristina Vázquez. The exhibition brings together twenty works made in oil, acrylic and watercolour, depicting scenes linked to summer, the sea and togetherness, such as conversations by the water, swims, walks along the shore and moments of rest.
The opening event was attended by the Antequera City Council's Councillor for Culture, José Medina Galeote; the provincial deputy delegate for Culture, Manuel López Mestanza; and the artist herself, along with other municipal representatives.
The works are inspired by settings such as the beaches of Matalascañas (Huelva), Menorca and Lanzarote, with influence from Sorolla and from photography. The exhibition also includes a series of watercolours dedicated to care and mutual support among women on the beach. The exhibition can be visited in the MAD's temporary galleries until January 24.
