Yuste and Escorial streets, in Nueva Andalucía, will have a renewed sewer network. The Marbella City Council has started a project with an investment of approximately 230,000 euros covering about 360 linear metres between both roads and a total area of 2,200 square metres. The aim is to put an end to the saturation problems the network was experiencing in this residential area, especially during rainy periods, and to improve wastewater evacuation, as explained by the Works councillor, Diego López, during the visit to the works. The project includes the installation of two new collectors, one on each street, and the separation of the pipes at the necessary points. It also includes the resurfacing of the entire affected street and the installation of about twenty manholes to facilitate maintenance work. The planned execution period is three months. The work affects those who live and travel along these two roads in Nueva Andalucía, who will see both the underground network and the road surface renewed. López was accompanied on the visit by the district councillor, Vanessa Ortiz de Zárate, and by the Hidralia representative Juan Antonaya.
