El Ayuntamiento de Estepona entrega el jueves 15 de octubre, a las 20.00 horas, el VI Premio Internacional de Poesía 'Ciudad de Estepona' a Helena Mariño por su obra 'Mira la palabra cómo brilla'. La entrada es gratuita hasta completar aforo.

Estepona City Council has started a brush-clearing campaign in more than fifty watercourses and crossings of rivers and streams in urban areas, with the aim of preventing flooding and fires. The work will continue until the first quarter of next year.

The entity expands its programme for the 2026/2027 academic year, reduces the required residency registration from twelve to two years, and extends the income threshold for accessing the aid.

The Plaza de Toros de Estepona will host, on Sunday, September 27, at 12:00 hours, the first of three masterclasses of the IV Circuito de Escuelas Taurinas de la Provincia de Málaga. Admission is free.

The Escuelas Deportivas Municipales start on September 28 with 95% of places filled. There are 24 activities and registration remains open throughout the season.

Twelve local businesses will showcase their autumn-winter collections in free runway shows at the Parque Botánico Orquidario, closing with the EDM Young Designers Contest on Saturday.

The City Council will allocate more than 24 million to investments in neighborhoods and facilities and will apply more than 7 million to subsidize the IBI and the waste collection tax, according to the statement issued by the council.
