The Palacio de la Paz in Fuengirola will host on Saturday, February 6, 2027, at 20:30, a concert by Macarena de la Torre for the benefit of the Real Hermandad del Rocío de Fuengirola. All proceeds will go to the renovation of the Simpecado cart, work that began about three years ago and is being carried out at the Orfebrería Montenegro workshop, according to the Hermandad. Tickets cost 15 euros plus booking fees and can be purchased on the Giglon.com platform. The Hermandad put the tickets on sale this Friday, October 30. The event is part of the acts with which the organisation will commemorate its 40th anniversary in 2027. The member for Protocol and Cultural Activities of the Hermandad, Miguel Ángel Díaz, explained that the aim is «to give a boost to the renovation of the Simpecado cart», a project designed by the member Miguel Ángel Martín Cuevas. The artist, a native of Almonte, will present the show Año de Traslado, in which she shares experiences and memories around the transfer of the Virgen del Rocío from the village to Almonte, a tradition celebrated every seven years. The event also comes in a year in which that transfer has been celebrated and in which El Rocío commemorates its Jubilee Year. Her career includes the first prize at the Flamenco Joven competition and the first prize for fandangos of the town of Alosno, and she has three published albums. The Culture Department of the Fuengirola City Council will provide the Palacio de la Paz free of charge for the show. The councillor for Fiestas, Isabel Moreno, noted that the Hermandad requested collaboration from the mayor, Ana Mula, and that the Council offered its support to make the charity event possible.
