The philosopher Fernando Savater will be in Málaga on Thursday, November 12, to take part in a new session of the FE cycle, which on this occasion is titled El origen del ser humano. ¿Cómo conciliar la evolución y la creación? The meeting will be held at 19:00 at the headquarters of the Agrupación de Cofradías de Semana Santa de Málaga, at calle Muro de San Julián, 2, with free entry until full capacity is reached. Alongside Savater, the Jesuit and professor emeritus of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Universidad de Málaga Ignacio Núñez de Castro and the journalist and head of news at COPE Málaga Mónica García will take part. The session proposes to address what science explains about the emergence of the human being, what it means to speak of creation and how both ways of approaching our origins can converse. Savater is the author of works such as Ética para Amador, Política para Amador and Las preguntas de la vida, dedicated to bringing questions such as ethics, freedom and the human condition closer to the public. Núñez de Castro combines in his career the scientific study of life with reflection on its philosophical and religious implications. García brings the perspective of a journalist accustomed to conveying complex matters to a broad audience, as detailed by the Agrupación de Cofradías. To attend, no prior registration is needed: it is enough to go to the headquarters of the Agrupación de Cofradías on Thursday, November 12, at 19:00, until the room's capacity is reached.
