The City Council accepts the free transfer of the sculpture 'Las columnas del mar'
The Local Government Board accepts that Ginés Serrán will transfer the sculptural group at no cost and will ask the Port Authority for permission for it to remain in its current location for the time agreed between both parties.

The Local Government Board of the Ayuntamiento de Málaga has accepted the unconditional transfer of the sculptural ensemble «Las columnas del mar», a work by the artist Ginés Serrán, as reported by the Ayuntamiento. The transfer is made at no additional cost to the Consistorio.
Following this acceptance, the Ayuntamiento will request authorization from the Autoridad Portuaria for the work to remain installed at its current location for as long as both parties agree. According to the document submitted by the transferor, the initiative has gathered more than twelve thousand signatures in support of the sculpture's permanence.
The transfer will be formalized through the corresponding delivery certificate, and the work will be included in the inventory of assets subject to transfer of the Ayuntamiento de Málaga.
Grant to expand the Fycma
The Local Government Board has also approved requesting from the Junta de Andalucía, through the consejería de Turismo, Justicia, Desregulación y Administración Local, a grant of five hundred ninety thousand euros to draft the basic and execution project for the expansion of the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga (Fycma). The total cost of the project amounts to 4,094,662.34 euros, VAT included.
According to the Ayuntamiento, on August 11 the Local Government Board had already approved the detailed study that urbanistically organizes and enables the expansion of the venue by more than 37,300 square meters of surface area.
Changes in the Local Government Board
The Ayuntamiento has also announced the modification of the structure of the Local Government Board, following the handover of the certificate by the former councilwoman Elisa Pérez de Siles on September 10. The first deputy mayor, Carmen Casero, now takes over as head of the secretariat of the Local Government Board, and the new order of the deputy mayorships is now led by her, followed by Carlos Conde, Teresa Porras, Alicia Izquierdo, Jacobo Florido, Penélope Gómez, Francisco Pomares, Mariana Pineda, Avelino Barrionuevo, and Trinidad Hernández.
