Fundación Unicaja publishes the poetry collection 'Poema de horas bajas', by Carmen Corcelles
The work, of an autobiographical nature, addresses loss, loneliness, grief and the passage of time. It was presented in the Sala Eduardo Ocón at the Sala Fundación Unicaja María Cristina.

Fundación Unicaja has published the book «Poema de horas bajas», by the poet and visual artist Carmen Corcelles. According to the statement issued by the foundation, the work explores the emotional states linked to loss, loneliness, grief and the awareness of the passing of time.
The presentation event took place at the Sala Eduardo Ocón of the Sala Fundación Unicaja María Cristina, with the participation of Fundación Unicaja's head of Literature, Francisco Cañadas; the writer Juan Ceyles, and the author herself, Carmen Corcelles.
«Poema de horas bajas» is, according to the foundation, an intimate and autobiographical work in which the author turns writing into a way of expressing and facing pain. It arises from personal feelings linked to loss, absence, loneliness and the fear of farewell. The author acknowledges that she writes when going through moments of grief, putting onto paper emotions she says she has felt since childhood.
The book does not approach pain from a standpoint of overcoming it or seeking comfort, but in a direct and sincere way, a trait that, according to the foundation, defines Corcelles's writing: concise, unadorned prose.
