'Ghosting y otros fantasmas' wins the MálagaCrea 2026 Young Short Film Showcase

Élise Tandé's short film takes the first prize, worth 1,500 euros, in a competition that received fifteen works from young creators of Málaga.

The fiction short film «Ghosting y otros fantasmas», by Élise Tandé, has won the first prize of the Muestra Joven de Cortometrajes MálagaCrea 2026, endowed this year with 1.500 euros. The awards ceremony and the screening of the finalist works took place on Wednesday 9 de septiembre at La Caja Blanca, according to the note issued by the Ayuntamiento de Málaga.

The second prize, of 1.200 euros, has gone to the animated short film «Anaglifo», by Valle Comba. Third place, endowed with 900 euros, was obtained by the documentary «Deportados: de Almogía a los campos de concentración nazis», by Sonia Vargas.

In addition, finalists Alejandro González, José Rodríguez-Vergara and María Isabel García received special mentions.

The awards ceremony was attended by the delegate councillor for Youth, Mercedes Martín.

How this edition has been

This edition of the Muestra received a total of fifteen audiovisual works: nine fiction shorts, three documentaries, two animation pieces and one music video. The jury was made up of Ana María Asencio, Alberto Pons and Alejandro Ruiz.

The Muestra Joven de Cortometrajes is part of the MálagaCrea program, organized by the Área de Juventud of the Ayuntamiento de Málaga, aimed at young creators of the city.
