The most notable proposal is the exhibition «Fulgor y Delirio: Cartografía de lo humano», by photographer Eugenio Recuenco, which will open on October 1 and can be visited until January 31, 2027. It is an in-house production that will occupy two halls of the centre with large-format photographs, light boxes and audiovisual and sculptural elements around the body, identity and the human condition. The exhibition can also be seen on October 2, during the last Red Friday edition of the year, which will bring together live music and contemporary creation with artists such as Los Lagos de Hinault, Amor Líquido and La Perfecta Moment.
La Térmica Village, the format that combines music, creation and participation in collaboration with the town councils, will have two new stops: Pizarra, on September 26, with artists such as Queralt Lahoz, Kora and Sabbah, and Estepona, on November 7, with Depresión Sonora and Raya Diplomática. Pizarra will be the second municipality with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants to host the Village in 2026, after Archidona.
The project «Cocina con PinkChadora. El sabor de los pueblos de Málaga», featuring drag artist PinkChadora, will initially tour Villanueva del Rosario, Alpandeire, Almáchar and Manilva to recover local recipes and gastronomic traditions.
The collaboration with Irreconciliables will continue during the autumn with a new edition of its poetry festival, with activities at La Térmica and in other municipalities of the province. At the centre, this includes the premiere of «Recreativos Federico», by Álex Peña; meetings with Paula Melchor and Sabina Urraca; the proposal «Andábamos maravillados», with Violeta Gil and Marcos Nadie; and the presentation of the book of poets from Palma-Palmilla by Colectivo Acto Reflejo.
La Térmica will host, on October 15 and 16, the second edition of Periscopio, under the theme «Territorios de cultura», a gathering that will bring together cultural professionals from different parts of Spain and where the winning project of the «La generación del 27 hoy» call will be announced, which may become part of the Festival Eñe Málaga programme.
Together with the Festival de Málaga, the Cine en nuestra zona project will bring a selection of films to Tolox, Pizarra, Alameda, Villanueva del Rosario, Torrox and Ardales.
The cycle «Una décima de segundo», coordinated by Ángel Carmona, will hold its last 2026 session on Thursday, September 17, with Asturian artist Rodrigo Cuevas. Meanwhile, the literary cycle «El libro y la hoguera», organized with Festival Eñe and featuring writer Luna Miguel, will run from September 29 to November 9 with three sessions on censorship and pleasure, in which Adriana Murad Konings, Sara Torres and Eudald Espluga will take part.
Among the novelties of the quarter are the course «Inscribirse la locura», taught by Luis Puelles on writing and mental illness, and the «Danzas Breves» session, directed by Manuel Roldán, on November 26.
The programme also keeps regular formats such as the Club de lectura de cómic de autora, coordinated by Juan Naranjo; the Chess cycle, coordinated by Manuel Azuaga, with sessions on November 3 and 27; and the collaboration with Filmin, with sessions on October 13 and November 10, as well as swing, dance and robotics workshops. The full programme can be consulted on La Térmica's website.
The vice-president and deputy for Culture of the Diputación de Málaga, Manuel López Mestanza, highlighted, according to the note, the importance of maintaining the balance between the centre's own activity and its connection with the territory.
