Clubs, associations, federations, companies, brotherhoods and confraternities in Marbella can now prepare their sports projects for 2027. The City Council opens on Monday, October 26 the period to request municipal collaboration in the organization of sports events next year, a call that will remain open until November 30.
The application allows the Council to gather all planned events into a single plan, study their viability and decide which ones will have the backing of the local administration. That is, anyone organizing a sports event in 2027 and wanting municipal support must submit their proposal within that period.
A calendar with 140 events this year
The councilor for the area, Lisandro Vieytes, has stated that Marbella will close the current year with the celebration of 140 sports events, of which 12 will be international in scope. According to him, that activity "forces us to plan the calendar very well so that the events do not overlap with other important dates in the city and we can coordinate the human and material resources necessary for their development."
The figure serves as a reference to understand the scale of the call: the City Council wants to organize in advance a volume of events that this year reaches 140, twelve of them international, and prevent them from coinciding in time.
What needs to be done
Interested entities must submit their request for municipal collaboration to organize a sports event in 2027. The period begins on Monday, October 26 and ends on November 30. The call is aimed at clubs, brotherhoods, confraternities, companies, associations and federations.
The City Council will evaluate each proposal and determine which ones receive local support, within a global planning of the events planned for that year.
