Four firms from the province have taken part in a trade mission by the Chamber of Commerce of Málaga to Senegal, Ghana and Ivory Coast, held from September 27 to October 3, 2026, to seek local clients and partners.
Four Malaga companies have travelled to West Africa to seek clients and partners with whom to expand their business outside Spain. They did so in a trade mission organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Málaga that took place from September 27 to October 3, 2026 in Dakar (Senegal), Abidjan (Ivory Coast) and Accra (Ghana).
Who went and what they did
The participating firms are Arksur (architecture services), Bodegas Málaga Virgen (wine sector), CPU Global (e-commerce and technology) and Iuris Cátedra Soluciones Financieras y Tributarias (tax and fiscal services).
Each one held its own agenda of meetings with potential local clients, partners and collaborators, prepared in advance. According to the Chamber of Commerce of Málaga, these meetings allowed them to learn about each market, identify business opportunities and establish contacts to develop their activity.
At the same time, the chamber body held institutional meetings with local chambers of commerce and Spanish chambers abroad to facilitate future collaborations between Malaga and African companies.
Second mission to the continent
It is the second consecutive year in which the Chamber organises a trade mission to Africa. The institution explains that this route responds to its strategy of diversifying export destinations and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in markets with commercial potential but harder entry, where access to reliable information and local contacts is decisive.
The four companies have rated the experience positively, according to the Chamber, which highlights the interest of the contacts established and the business prospects that may open up from the meetings.
European funding
The mission is part of the Programa Pyme Global 2026 and is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). This programme supports the internationalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises to improve their competitiveness and growth opportunities.
