The Ayuntamiento de Benalmádena wins an Andalusian Domestic Trade Award

The Consejería de Empleo, Empresa y Trabajo Autónomo has decided the tenth edition of these awards, in which Benalmádena has been recognized for its policies to boost local trade.

The Benalmádena City Council has been recognized in the category aimed at local entities of the X Andalusian Domestic Trade Awards, according to the resolution published by the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) and reported in a note from the Consejería de Empleo, Empresa y Trabajo Autónomo.

The municipality has been awarded for its policies to boost local trade, including a Strategic Plan for Commerce and Craftsmanship 2023-2027 that is currently being implemented and which seeks to modernize commerce, strengthen craftsmanship and adapt the activity to new consumption habits. Added to this is the collaboration with business and trade associations, support for promotional campaigns and actions to modernize urban commerce and improve mobility and accessibility.

The awards, with six categories in total, aim to recognize those who stand out for their work in favor of commerce in Andalusia. Each award carries a prize of 4,800 euros, a trophy and a certificate of accreditation.

Other awarded companies and entities

In addition to the Benalmádena City Council, the jury has recognized other companies and associations from different parts of Andalusia in this edition. In the innovation and business trajectory category for companies with up to ten workers, the award went to the Sevillian company Neman Europe, which operates under the brand Masaltos.com. In the same category, but for companies with more than ten workers, the winner was the Cooperativa Provincial Agraria y Ganadera San Isidro (CASI), from Almería.

The Good Labor Practice category went to Productos de Almadraba, based in Barbate (Cádiz) and which operates under the brands Gadira and El Rey de Oros. In the Open Shopping Centers category, the Asociación de Comerciantes del Centro de Jerez was awarded, and in the distinction for business cooperation, the Asociación Centro Comercial Abierto de Priego de Córdoba (ACCA).

The jury also gave a special mention to the Andalusian company Pepe Pinreles, dedicated to the design and sale of themed socks and textile products inspired by Spanish culture and traditions, which has eight points of sale in different Andalusian provinces.
