According to the club, the meeting came about after Bantrab showed interest, a few months ago, in learning about the methodology and working processes of Spanish football, as well as in exploring opportunities for knowledge transfer in the sporting and training field. The stated aim is an exchange that could prove beneficial for both parties and contribute to the development of Guatemalan football.
Among the initiatives put on the table are programs for exchanging knowledge and experiences between coaches, visits to the club's facilities, attendance at training sessions and learning about the different departments that make up Málaga CF's sporting structure. There has also been talk of the possibility of developing training activities for Guatemalan coaches and young footballers, who could enrich their training with the methodology of La Academia, the Málaga club's youth academy.
Málaga CF states that the proposal seeks to share procedures, experiences and working models that favor the growth of both entities' sporting structures and strengthen the ties of cooperation between them.
For now, the meeting is part of a process of analysis and dialogue to assess future collaborations. The club specifies that the agreement between both parties is still in the drafting stage, so there is, for the moment, no closed deal nor a specific schedule of actions.
