The Revello de Toro Museum organizes six conferences for the painter's centenary

The cycle, free with open admission until capacity is reached, starts on Tuesday, September 22 and will run until October 27 in the museum's courtyard, at 19:00 hours.

The Revello de Toro Museum has organized a cycle of six conferences dedicated to the work and career of the Malaga-born painter Félix Revello de Toro, as part of the events for the artist's centenary. The sessions are free and admission is open until capacity is reached.

All the sessions will be held in the museum's courtyard at 19:00 hours, between the months of September and October.

The cycle begins on Tuesday, September 22 with the conference «Los objetos exquisitos en las obras de Félix Revello de Toro», given by Rosario Camacho Martínez, professor of Art History at the Universidad de Málaga and president of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Telmo.

On Tuesday, September 29, Lourdes Jiménez Fernández, doctor of Art History, exhibition curator and cultural manager, will speak about «Las mujeres en la pintura de Revello de Toro».

On Tuesday, October 6, journalist Pedro Luis Gómez Carmona, winner of the Premio Andalucía de Periodismo and former director of Publications at SUR, will address «La Pasión de Revello de Toro. Su pintura cofrade».

On Tuesday, October 13, Francisca Torres Aguilar, doctor of Art History and secondary education teacher, will offer the conference «Revello de Toro, cartelista».

On Tuesday, October 20, Francisco José Rodríguez Marín, senior lecturer in Art History at the Universidad de Málaga, will speak about «Maestro del retrato».

The cycle will close on Tuesday, October 27 with «El Museo Revello de Toro y su singularidad», given by Elías de Mateo Avilés, vice president of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Telmo and director of the Museo Revello de Toro.

According to the notice sent by the Ayuntamiento de Málaga, the cycle is sponsored by the Fundación Sando and the Fundación El Pimpi, with the collaboration of the Fundación La Caixa.

Those who wish to attend any of the sessions can go directly to the courtyard of the Museo Revello de Toro at 19:00 hours on each scheduled date, since admission is open until the available capacity is reached.
