Emasa awards the project to save 12.5% of water extracted from reservoirs and wells
The municipal water company has contracted the drafting of the improvement project at the El Atabal plant, as part of a larger initiative to reduce water consumption from reservoirs and wells.

Emasa, the municipal water company of Málaga, has awarded the contract to draft the project for efficiency improvements at the El Atabal plant, according to the statement issued by the Ayuntamiento de Málaga. The action seeks to save 12.5% of the water extracted from reservoirs and wells.
The contract has been awarded for 224,288.6 euros, VAT included, and the execution period set is eleven months.
This action is part of a broader project, called SITAguaS, which has a total budget of 18,497,370 euros. Of that amount, part will be financed with FEDER funds (European Regional Development Fund), through a call from the Línea de Fomento de la Innovación (FID) from demand for Compra Pública de Innovación (CPI), promoted by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades.
