Estepona Town Council accepts applications from October 20 to November 3 for a free 310-hour organic farming course, with 150 hours of company internships, aimed at unemployed people registered as job seekers.
Estepona Town Council has opened the application period for a place on a free organic farming course aimed at unemployed people. The training will be delivered in the municipality and is part of the EnRuta project, promoted by the Diputación Provincial de Málaga to improve the job prospects of those who face the greatest difficulties in accessing the labour market.
The course totals 310 hours spread over three months. Of these, 120 are specific training in organic farming, 150 are supervised professional internships in companies, 30 are cross-cutting and complementary training and 10 are tutorials and job guidance. The programme combines theory and practice so that students acquire skills applicable to work in the sector.
Requirements and priority groups
To take part, applicants must be unemployed and registered as job seekers with the public employment services. The call prioritises the long-term unemployed, people over 45 —especially women—, people with a recognised disability of 33 % or more, nationals of third countries, people of foreign origin and people in a situation of socio-economic vulnerability. Preference is also given to those who have not previously taken part in training actions financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
Financial assistance for attendance
Those who meet the financial requirements of the call may receive financial assistance linked to attendance at the specific training and the internships, provided they complete at least 75 % of the training programme.
How to apply for a place
The application period for this ninth call of the EnRuta project remains open from October 20 to November 3, 2026, both inclusive. Applications are preferably submitted through the electronic office of the Diputación Provincial de Málaga, via the EnRuta project form. The requirements, the necessary documentation and the rest of the information on the procedure can be consulted on the employment page of the Diputación de Málaga.
The EnRuta project is co-financed by the ESF+ within the framework of the Employment, Education, Training and Social Economy Programme (EFESO) for the 2021-2027 period, according to Estepona Town Council.
