Until now the programme was offered at the hostels of Almería, Córdoba, Huelva, Jerez de la Frontera, Marbella and Sevilla, with 272 places during the 2025-2026 academic year. The four new centres are now added to these, contributing the 114 additional places.
The programme is aimed at students between the ages of 16 and 30 and at active teachers who carry out their academic activity away from their place of residence. The hostels offer air-conditioned single or double rooms, with private bathroom, desk and wifi, as well as dining, cleaning, laundry and study room services. Both this programme and the Coliving programme also have adapted rooms.
The general scheme includes full board from Monday to Friday, and bed and breakfast on weekends. At the Marbella hostel, the scheme is bed and breakfast throughout the week.
The Junta de Andalucía states that the expansion is concentrated in cities with a significant presence of university students and students of intermediate and higher vocational training cycles. The Consejera de Vivienda, Juventud y Ordenación del Territorio, Rocío Díaz, has pointed out that the increase in places seeks to respond to the needs of those who move to another city to study: «starting an academic year away from home means finding accommodation and organising a new stage. With these 114 additional places we want to make that start easier and offer students and teachers more affordable accommodation options in the cities where they carry out their academic activity».
Another option: Coliving
Inturjoven also maintains the Coliving programme, aimed at those who need prolonged stays without being tied to the whole academic year. This option is designed for students and teachers who travel temporarily for training reasons, as well as for professionals in the process of relocating or who need accommodation to work remotely for a period of time.
The special Coliving rates apply to stays of at least fifteen days, consecutive or accumulable, over the course of a calendar year. The accommodation includes a single or double room, cleaning and wifi.
The Consejería states that its intention is to continue expanding the uses of the Inturjoven hostel network and to strengthen the programmes linked to the mobility and training of young people.
