The World Cup arrives in Málaga with an exhibition at the Ayuntamiento

The exhibition "Reyes del Mundo," featuring the trophy from the last World Cup, can be visited on September 20 and 21 at the Patio de Banderas and on the 22nd at the Centre Pompidou Málaga.

Málaga will be the first city in Andalusia to host the exhibition «Reyes del Mundo», which allows visitors to see up close the World Cup trophy won by the Spanish national football team in the United States, according to the statement issued by the Ayuntamiento de Málaga.

The exhibition will be set up in the Patio de Banderas of the Ayuntamiento on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21. On Saturday the 20th the schedule will be from 14:00 to 20:00 hours, and on Sunday the 21st, from 09:00 to 14:00 hours and from 15:00 to 20:00 hours.

In addition, the trophy will remain in the city for one more day: on Monday, September 22 it can be seen at the Centre Pompidou Málaga, from 10:00 to 21:00 hours. In this case access will be on a first-come, first-served basis and no prior invitation will be needed.

To visit the exhibition at the Ayuntamiento, it is necessary to obtain a free pass beforehand, for a morning or afternoon slot, through the official website of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF).

Official opening ceremony

On Sunday, September 20, starting at 11:30 hours, the RFEF will hold the official opening ceremony of the exhibition in the Salón de los Espejos of the Ayuntamiento de Málaga. The president of the RFEF, Rafael Louzán; the president of the Real Federación Andaluza de Fútbol, Pedro Curtido, and the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, are expected to take part.

Before that event, at 10:30 hours, the RFEF will hold a special preview for members of the media.

How to get a ticket

Those who wish to visit «Reyes del Mundo» at the Ayuntamiento de Málaga on September 20 and 21 must first request their free pass, for a morning or afternoon slot, on the official ticket sales website of the RFEF. For the visit to the trophy on the 22nd at the Centre Pompidou Málaga, that step is not required and access will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
