The Junta accuses the Government of failing to provide solutions to the anti-abuse bracelet failures
The Consejera de Igualdad, Loles López, described as "disappointing" the attitude of Minister Ana Redondo at the Crisis Committee held in Sevilla to analyze the gender-based murders of July and August.

The Andalusian regional minister of Social Services, Families and Equality, Loles López, has described as «disappointing» the attitude of the Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, following the holding in Sevilla of a new Crisis Committee to analyze the latest gender-based murders of July and August, according to the statement issued by the Junta de Andalucía.
López has stated that the minister «has not provided any solution» and has criticized her for not commenting on the failures of the anti-abuse bracelets, denounced by the Audiencia de Málaga, which according to the regional minister continue to occur.
The regional minister has also criticized the way the Government handles victim figures by autonomous communities. According to López, Andalucía has been the community with the highest number of victims in years such as 2011, 2015 and 2018 due to its population size, and she considered that comparing that data «without any statistical rigor» is, in her words, «sad and worrying».
Failures in the protection system
The regional minister has criticized the minister for having repeated, in her view, the same procedure as the previous year regarding the failures of the bracelets: learning about them through the media, initially denying them, and later apologizing for the noise generated, not for the lack of protection of the victims.
López has pointed out that in Andalucía four of the 2026 fatal victims were included in the VioGén system (Sistema de Seguimiento Integral de los Casos de Violencia de Género), of which three had a low risk level assigned and one, high risk.
The regional minister has linked these failures to what she described as a shortage of personnel in the security forces and to problems in the risk assessment of victims, and has argued that acknowledging the errors is the first step toward solving them.
López concluded her remarks by highlighting the work of those who take part in the care and support of victims in Andalucía, in contrast to what she called the minister's «coldness of the data».
The meeting of the Crisis Committee, convened to analyze the gender-based murders of July and August, was preceded by a minute of silence, according to the statement.
