Málaga celebrates La Noche Europea de los Investigadores on September 25

The Paseo del Parque will host, from 17:30, workshops, talks and scientific debates with more than 350 researchers, in an edition that for the first time adds activities in Alhaurín de la Torre.

The European Researchers' Night returns to Málaga on Friday, September 25 with a free science outreach programme open to all audiences. The event, organized by the Universidad de Málaga (UMA), will take place mainly at the Paseo del Parque, where from 17:30 onwards workshops and interactive experiences on health, engineering, neuroscience, microbiology, chemistry and new technologies will be set up.

According to the statement issued by Fundación Unicaja, sponsor of the initiative, more than 350 researchers will take part. The day will also include micro-talks, outreach lectures, panel discussions and scientific and cultural walks through different points of the city, addressing topics such as the energy transition, climate change, mental health, artificial intelligence, water management and space exploration.

As a new feature, this edition extends part of its programme to the municipality of Alhaurín de la Torre, with the participation of the Museo Andaluz de la Educación. The activity is part of a European initiative held simultaneously in nearly four hundred cities across the continent.

Presentation at the Rectorado

The programme was presented at the Rectorado of the UMA, in an event attended by the head of Education at Fundación Unicaja, Enrique Gómez-Puig; the rector of the UMA, Teodomiro López; the vice-rector for Research and Scientific Outreach, Pedro Jesús Maireles; the territorial delegate for Education, Miguel Briones; and the general director of Fundación Descubre, Teresa Cruz.
