Málaga offers 149 free educational activities for the 2026/2027 school year
Educational centres can request until 18 September the activities of the Programas Educativos Municipales, which this year incorporate a block of prevention workshops aimed at the adolescent stage.

Of the total, the Área de Educación organizes 96 activities spread across six programs, other municipal areas contribute 35 more, and collaborating entities provide 18 more. In addition to the Área de Educación, eight municipal areas or departments take part: Cultura, Deporte, Igualdad de Oportunidades, Participación Ciudadana, Sostenibilidad Medioambiental, Seguridad, the Área de Innovación y Digitalización and Canal Málaga.
Prevention for adolescents
This edition places emphasis on prevention, within the project «Educar para prevenir. Prevenir para educar», which Málaga promotes as coordinator of the Red Estatal de Ciudades Educadoras (RECE). The workshop «Neurociencia y Adolescencia ¿Qué me está pasando?» is being added, focused on explaining hormonal changes and impulsive behavior from a scientific basis.
The programs «Creando Equipo», for mediation and conflict management, and the workshops «Inteligencia Emocional y Autoestima», «Manejando mi estrés», «Acoso Escolar, otras formas son posibles» and sessions on healthy and sustainable eating are also given. The Policía Local continues its talks on internet risks, bullying, drug prevention, minors' criminal responsibility, driving under the effects of alcohol and prevention of gender violence among young people.

Among the new features, the promotion of inclusive education and sensory diversity stands out, with the storytelling sessions «Manos inquietas que cuentan cuentos» led by staff from the Centro Integral de Personas Sordas de Málaga, and the sign language courses «Manos que hablan». Guided tours to the Museo de Arte Flamenco Peña Juan Breva and the Museo Espacio Expositivo Tabacalera (MEET) are also added.
This year the Fundación Ciudadana del Carnaval de Málaga joins for the first time, with the project «Vive la casa del carnaval», which includes guided tours and workshops at its headquarters. Among the programs from other areas are, among others, «Vivir en Igualdad», «Pasaporte Verde», the bone marrow and blood donation program of the Asociación de Voluntarios de Oncología Infantil (AVOI) and the cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillator workshops from the Área de Seguridad.
