The new fire station in Rincón de la Victoria nears 80% completion
Work on the future fire station in Rincón de la Victoria, in the Parque Victoria development, has reached almost 80% completion. The building will also house the central offices and the emergency centre of the Málaga Provincial Fire Consortium.
The new fire station in Rincón de la Victoria, which the Diputación de Málaga is building on a plot in the Parque Victoria development, is almost 80% complete. The building will bring together the fire station itself and the central offices of the Málaga Provincial Fire Consortium (CPB), according to the president of the Diputación and mayor of Rincón de la Victoria, Francisco Salado.
Enclosures and façade
Work is progressing on the installation of the exterior enclosures with lacquered galvanised steel corrugated sheets. A glass curtain wall with slats will then be installed on the façade as sun protection and energy-saving elements.
The infrastructure will be built on a single floor over two platform levels. The lower platform will house the fire station with its tower, and will have a living room and dining room, gym, offices, bedrooms, changing rooms, toilets and a locker area for personal protective equipment. In the garage area there will be storerooms, a water tank area and a filling area for self-contained breathing apparatus.
Emergency centre
The upper platform will house the administrative area of the Consortium's headquarters and the emergency centre, with a control room, offices and changing rooms for staff. This centre receives all emergency alerts and from it the CPB fire stations are dispatched and monitored.
The Diputación is investing more than 4.3 million euros in these works. Salado visited the works alongside the president of the Fire Consortium, Manuel Marmolejo; the Rincón de la Victoria councillor for Urbanism, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, and the councillor for Relations with the Fire Consortium, Pepi Carnero.
