Topics Benalmádena Consorcio de Transporte Metropolitano del Área de Málaga

The closure of the south lane of the N-340 between the Hotel Aleysa and the Plaza Sol y Mar forces the north lane to be split into both directions and changes the location of several stops in the direction of Málaga, according to the Consorcio de Transporte Metropolitano del Área de Málaga.

The works on the water supply network in Benalmádena Costa have forced the closure since Tuesday, October 20, of the southbound lane of the N-340 road towards Torremolinos, between the Hotel Aleysa and Plaza Sol y Mar. As a temporary alternative, the northbound lane has been split for two-way traffic.

Seven lines affected

The splitting affects seven interurban bus routes within the area of the Consorcio de Transporte Metropolitano del Área de Málaga:
  • M-110 Málaga-Torremolinos-Benalmádena Costa
  • M-112 Málaga-Mijas
  • M-120 Torremolinos-Fuengirola
  • M-121 Málaga-Benalmádena-Torremolinos
  • M-123 Churriana-Torremolinos-Benalmádena Costa
  • M-124 Carola-Torremolinos
  • M-126 Benalmádena-Torremolinos

Changes to stops

The traffic restrictions change the location of several stops in the Málaga direction. The Los Maites stop moves to the Los Maites roundabout and the Selwo Marina stop moves to the Los Molinillos roundabout. The Bil-Bil, Antonio Machado and Hotel Tritón stops are cancelled. Instead, a stop is provisionally created at the intersection of the Avenida de la Telefónica slip road. This stop will be in service until mid-November, the date on which the progress of the sanitation network works is expected to prevent its use.
