Ronda puts out to tender a 200-space car park next to the train station for 681,000 euros

Ronda City Council has put out to tender the adaptation of the plot next to the train station to create 200 parking spaces. Interested companies can submit their bids until November 3 through the Contractor Profile on the municipal website.

The plot located next to the Ronda train station, a 7,200-square-metre parcel that is currently unused and in poor condition, will become a car park with 200 spaces, including spaces for people with reduced mobility. The City Council has published the tender for the project to adapt this space, according to the municipal Contracting delegate, Jorge Fernández.

What will be done on the plot

The works include cleaning and clearing the plot, demolishing the boundary wall on calle Córdoba and the ruined buildings inside the site, as well as asphalting and new signage. The project also includes new public lighting, drainage, landscaped areas and new pavements. The total investment will be 681,000 euros by Ronda City Council and the execution period for the works will be six months.

How to submit bids

Interested companies have until November 3 to submit their bids. All the information is available in the Contractor Profile on the municipal website, on the Ronda City Council page. Among the evaluation criteria, Fernández explained that the reduction of the estimated amount or the extension of the guarantee period will be taken into account, among others.

The delegate has stated that this action is one more step in the Municipal Car Park Plan, which is creating new parking areas in practically all the neighbourhoods.
