Ronda brings flamenco to the neighbourhoods with masterclasses and a concert in November

The Ayuntamiento de Ronda has scheduled activities throughout November for International Flamenco Day, which is celebrated on the 16th. There will be masterclasses by the city's academies in four neighbourhoods and a concert by Chico Pérez at the Teatro Municipal Vicente Espinel.

The activities will begin on Wednesday, November 4 at 17.00 hours in the San Rafael neighbourhood, with a masterclass by the Doble Giro academy. The following day, Thursday, November 5, the event will be at the same time in the Padre Jesús neighbourhood. The programme will continue on Wednesday, November 11 at plaza Elisa Elvira, in San Cristóbal, with the Rocío Romero academy. A day later, Thursday, November 12, the Flamenkos de Miguel Lorca academy will be in the San Francisco neighbourhood.

Chico Pérez concert

The pianist Chico Pérez will perform on Friday, November 6 at 21.00 hours at the Teatro Municipal Vicente Espinel. According to the Ayuntamiento, it is his first visit to Ronda. Tickets are on sale on the website giglon.com and at the Delegación Municipal de Cultura, at plaza de la Merced.

Closing party at the Alameda del Tajo

The programme will end on Monday, November 16, International Flamenco Day, at 17.00 hours at the Alameda del Tajo. It will be a closing party with all the participating dance academies, also open to the public who wish to join, as explained by the municipal delegate of Culture, Rebeca Muñoz.

What to do

For the Chico Pérez concert, tickets can be purchased on the website giglon.com or at the Delegación Municipal de Cultura, at plaza de la Merced. The masterclasses in the neighbourhoods and the closing party at the Alameda del Tajo do not require registration according to municipal information.
