Castillo Sohail in Fuengirola will host the International Toy and Collectibles Fair on October 31 and November 1, with free entry. The event, organised by Playmopop Eventos, combines exhibitions, workshops, board game tournaments and a specialist market over the Todos los Santos bank holiday weekend.

What you can see

The fair offers a journey through different eras of toys. The space «Iconos del Ayer» will bring together pieces such as Geyperman, Madelman, Airgamboys, Nancy, Barriguitas and electric trains, while «Grandes Universos» will be dedicated to Playmobil, Lego, Scalextric and scale cars. There will also be a pop culture section with references to Star Wars, G.I. Joe, action figures and Funko Pop, as well as a display of classic board games such as Monopoly, Hotel, El Palé or Tragabolas. According to the Ayuntamiento, the event has already been held in cities such as Sevilla, Málaga, Huelva, Córdoba and Cáceres.

Workshops, tournaments and music

The programme includes slime workshops, making flower vases, masks and terrifying animals, themed entertainment with witches and skeletons, and a Halloween costume contest. For board game fans there will be puzzle and traditional game tournaments, with games of parchís and la oca. On Saturday, October 31, DJ Xavi will play music inspired by 1980s and 1990s television series and old toy adverts.

Market and charity area

The Mercado del Coleccionismo will bring together artisans and specialist shops from Andalucía and the rest of Spain, with a range from classic toys to action figures and miniatures. The fair will also have a charity area with a collection point for new or good condition toys and non-perishable food; according to the organisers, the donations will go to social organisations in Fuengirola. The fair is held on October 31 and November 1 at Castillo Sohail, with free entry and no need to register in advance, according to data provided by the Ayuntamiento.
