Minors with functional diversity will be able to access the children's attractions at the Feria del Rosario in Fuengirola on a preferential basis, without having to wait in the usual queues. The measure, which is being applied for the third consecutive year, is promoted by Fuensocial together with the Fuengirola City Council and the fairground business owners.
How to get the wristband
To benefit from preferential access, minors must wear a blue wristband. Fuensocial distributes it at its headquarters on calle Blanca Paloma, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours. The wristband allows the minor and one accompanying person to enter the attractions without waiting in line.
According to Isabel Moreno, councillor for Fiestas, the initiative seeks to avoid situations of stress or sensory overload associated with long waits, and she has asked other users for understanding to help it work.
Alicia Gómez, a representative of Fuensocial, has stated that these moments can mean sensory overload for people with functional diversity, both auditory and visual, and that the blue wristband allows families to enjoy the Feria without facing waits that, she explains, can sometimes be critical for them.
One hour without noise
This measure is joined by the 'Hora sin ruido', which will take place daily from 17:00 to 18:00 hours at the Feria attractions. During that period the noise level in the fairground will be reduced so that children with functional diversity, especially those with autism spectrum disorder, can enjoy the attractions in more suitable conditions.
The councillor for Familias, Igualdad y Bienestar Social, Cristina Bornao, has indicated that the City Council works together with the city's various groups both at the Feria del Rosario and at the other celebrations.
