Torre del Mar hosts the Oktoberfest on October 10 and 11 with music and dance

Avenida Toré Toré will open from 13:00 on both days with concerts, tribute bands and performances by local dance groups and choirs.

Torre del Mar will hold a new edition of Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 on avenida Toré Toré, with the venue opening from 13:00 on both days.

Music programme

On Saturday, October 10 live music will begin at 16:00 with Free Zulbán. At 18:00 Hombres B, a tribute to Hombres G, will perform, and the day will close at 20:00 with Las Vegas. On Sunday, October 11 the programme will continue at 16:00 with Malabares, a tribute to Estopa. At 18:00 it will be the turn of Iberia Sumergido, a tribute to Héroes del Silencio, and at 20:00 Aire, a tribute group to Mecano, will close the weekend.

Dance groups and local collectives

In addition to the concerts, various dance groups and local collectives will take part over the two days: Coro Luz del Alba, Feel the Music, Fit Easy Dance, Coro Peña Buena Amistad and Grupo de Castañuelas Ganas de Vivir.

Boosting commerce

The councillor for Commerce and Industry of the Ayuntamiento de Vélez-Málaga, Beatriz Gálvez, has said that the event aims to generate activity in shops and hospitality businesses over the weekend. She explained that the initiative is part of the programme of activities that the Ayuntamiento keeps running throughout the year in Torre del Mar, with leisure proposals both for residents and for those who visit the town outside the summer season. Gálvez thanked the artists, collectives and workers involved in the organisation for their collaboration, as well as the Asociación de Empresarios y Comerciantes de Torre del Mar.
