Benalmádena publishes the final list for six firefighter-driver positions

The Benalmádena City Council published this Monday, September 21, in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia (BOP) de Málaga the final list of admitted and excluded persons in the process to fill six Firefighter-Driver positions. The positions correspond to the Public Employment Offers (OEP) of 2023 and 2024 and will be filled as career civil servants through open competition. With this procedure, the City Council moves forward in its goal of strengthening the Fire Prevention, Extinction and Rescue Service. According to the mayor, Juan Antonio Lara, the Council intends to incorporate up to a total of thirteen new members to the fire brigade. After the publication of this list, the selection process will continue with the tests of the examination phase. The date and place of these tests will be announced through the Council's public employment platform and the electronic headquarters, with at least five days' notice, as established by the regulatory bases of the process. Investment in the fire service According to the City Council, during this term 1.5 million euros have been allocated to renewing the vehicle fleet, 510,000 euros to new suits and personal protective equipment, and 142,000 euros to improving the facilities of the Fire Station. The mayor has stated that work is underway to provide the service with more resources and personnel in order to improve its response capacity in emergencies. Those taking part in the selection process should check the municipal public employment platform and the electronic headquarters to find out the date and place of the tests of the examination phase, which will be published with a minimum of five days' notice.
