Unicaja takes on UCAM Murcia on Thursday in the I Trofeo Alfonso Sánchez
The Málaga team will play this Thursday, September 17, at the Olivo Arena in Jaén, its fifth pre-season friendly, against a rival it has faced numerous times in recent years.

The match is part of the I Trofeo Alfonso Sánchez, named after the former Unicaja player who wore the Malaga jersey for 37 matches over four seasons, between 2004 and 2008.
UCAM Murcia arrives at the game having played three preseason matches, with wins against Bueno Arenas Albacete Basket (65-108) and Argentina's Boca Juniors (93-54). This same evening, before facing Unicaja, the team coached by Sito Alonso plays against MoraBanc Andorra, at 19:30.
Ahead of the season, UCAM Murcia has strengthened its squad with the signings of point guard Juani Marcos, from Barça; small forward Soley Boum, from BC Vienna; power forward Marcis Steinbergs, from Kids&Us Manresa; and center Jean-Marc Pansa, from Sabah BC. The roster, once again coached by Sito Alonso, also includes Jonah Radebaugh and Michael Forrest as point guards; Dylan Ennis, now recovered from a left wrist injury, and Wilhelm Falk as shooting guards; Howard Sant-Roos, Sander Raieste and Toni Nakic as small forwards; Kaiser Gates and Rubén de la Torre as power forwards; and Emmanuel Cate and Moussa Diagne as centers.
Unicaja and UCAM Murcia have met 69 times in official matches throughout their history, with 48 wins for the Malaga team and 21 for the Murcia side. The last meeting between the two, in Liga Endesa, went to the Levante side, who won 87 to 69.
