The Fuengirola Town Council has launched two initiatives with an open registration period: a commercial campaign to boost the city's businesses and a free dance workshop aimed at young people.
Discounts in local businesses
The 'Outlet y Promoción Fuengirola' campaign will be held from November 5 to 7 with the aim of boosting sales for local businesses during a period of lower activity after the summer. According to the Councillor for Commerce, Francisco Javier García Lara, participating establishments will be able to offer additional discounts on items from previous seasons and promotional prices on new-season products.
All Fuengirola businesses that remain open during their usual hours during those three days and that properly signpost their offers may join.
Salsa, bachata and merengue workshop
The Youth Department has scheduled a second edition of the free Latin Dance workshop, focused on salsa, bachata and merengue, which according to the councillor Isaac Vargas is being repeated due to the good reception of its first edition. Classes will be held every Friday from November 6 to January 4, from 19:30 to 21:30, at the Colores building in Los Boliches, and are aimed at young people aged 16 to 35.
Vargas has noted that it is a free activity but with limited places, so he has encouraged those interested to sign up as soon as possible.
How to sign up
Businesses interested in the outlet campaign can register from October 26 to November 3. The form is available at the Town Council's information desk or can be downloaded from the municipal Electronic Office, in the procedures catalogue, under Commerce. Once completed, it can be submitted through the Electronic Office, by email to comercio@fuengirola.org, by WhatsApp to 697 469 342 by sending a photo of the application, or through the Fuengirola Más Viva app.
For the Latin Dance workshop, registration is free and opens on Friday, October 23 from 20:00 through the Tarjeta Ciudadana, for young people aged between 16 and 35.
