Greencities awards TECO Mobility and closes in Málaga with 2,400 attendees
The urban innovation fair, held at FYCMA alongside the VI Congreso Smart City RECI, recognized the startup TECO Mobility for its rental bicycles with contactless payment, among five finalist projects.

Together with TECO Mobility, the finalists also included 3HUB by Biotonomy, with modular trees that include a rest area; Launch4, which applies artificial intelligence, blockchain and digital twins to systems for industry; Bideroad, dedicated to the digitalization of roads to detect their deterioration and move toward predictive maintenance; and IntelliAlert Technologies, which uses artificial intelligence for emergency risk management.
The evaluation committee for this call, which has Fundación Unicaja as a partner, has been made up of representatives from organizations such as the Agencia Empresarial para la Transformación y el Desarrollo Económico de Andalucía (TRADE), Andalucía Emprende, the Ayuntamiento de Málaga, the Universidad de Málaga and several professional, business and investment entities, among others.

Greencities has closed this year's edition after bringing together over two days more than 2,400 attendees, with representation from more than 80 municipalities and more than 200 entities. The program brought together 115 speakers and an exhibition area with 70 companies and organizations, in addition to the participation of nearly thirty mayors at the Foro de Alcaldes/as e Innovación.
As part of the program, a dozen city councils presented projects developed in their territories on data, artificial intelligence, energy transition, digitalization and sustainability at the City Speakers initiative.
The event was held at FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga), belonging to the Ayuntamiento de Málaga, coinciding for the first time with the VI Congreso Smart City of the Red Española de Ciudades Inteligentes (RECI). The joint closing ceremony was attended by the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, and the president of RECI and mayor of Las Rozas, José de la Uz.
The Congreso Smart City RECI, which coincided with the network's 15th anniversary, brought together more than 50 national and international speakers. On its final day, the Declaración de Málaga was presented, a document with eleven commitments to move toward artificial intelligence at the service of cities, placing the general interest, the protection of rights, transparency and public accountability among the principles that should guide its application in municipal management.
The event was organized by FYCMA and co-organized by the technology employers' association AMETIC, with the participation of various companies and organizations as partners and sponsors, according to the statement.
