In 2029 Marbella will have a new complex dedicated to health, wellness and longevity. Marbella City Council has reported the laying of the first stone of the Oakmond Marbella Wellness Clinic Resort, a project that will occupy the site of the former Incosol hotel, closed since 2012, and that will involve an investment of more than 260 million euros.

A project on the former Incosol site

The complex will be built on the site of the emblematic Incosol hotel, out of service since 2012. According to the City Council, the initiative will allow that space to be recovered and oriented towards a tourism model linked to health and wellness. The City Council maintains that the project will generate wealth, attract specialised talent and create skilled employment in the city. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has stated that the complex "will position the city as an international benchmark in health, wellness and longevity" and that it "will mark a before and after in the history of the city".

Scheduled opening in 2029

The opening of Oakmond Marbella is scheduled for 2029. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, and the founder of Ilanga Capital and promoter of the project, Pelayo Cortina, took part in the first stone laying ceremony.

What it means for the city

The project is presented as a piece to consolidate a tourism model of the highest quality, according to the municipal assessment. The announced investment exceeds 260 million euros and the reopening of the former Incosol site is set for 2029.
