Marbella installs eight underground containers on Frankfurt street in Las Chapas

The Marbella City Council has finished installing eight underground containers on Frankfurt street, in the Las Chapas district. The action is part of a municipal plan to create and improve ecological islands at different points in the municipality, in order to increase the capacity for selective waste collection and promote street cleanliness. The councillor responsible for the area, Diego López, explained that it is «an eminently residential area with activity all year round due to its proximity to the senda litoral and the beach», which made an intervention necessary to improve both the surroundings and the service received by residents. With these new underground containers, the residents of Frankfurt street have more points to dispose of waste separately, which according to the City Council should result in greater cleanliness of the area and a better collection service in the zone.
