Manilva's Local Police has started road safety talks at the municipality's schools. The first of them was given at IES Las Viñas, according to Manilva Town Council.

Visits to all schools

The initiative is repeated every school year. Officers organise themselves over the months to visit all the municipality's schools, both secondary and primary. On this occasion officer Andrés Benítez and the head of the Local Police, Javier González Herrera, took part. The talks are part of the collaboration between the Local Police and the Department of Education, headed by Laura Salazar.

Who it affects

The activity reaches pupils at Manilva's schools and secondary schools, who receive road safety training during school hours. The schedule of visits runs throughout the school year and is not limited to a single school.

What can be done

There is no procedure or registration to take part: the talks are given at the schools themselves and are organised by the Local Police together with the Department of Education.
