The Marbepop Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary this Saturday, October 24, in La Represa park, from 16.00 hours. In this edition, the money obtained from the charity eco-cups will be donated to the Triple A Association.
How the charity bar works
The event's bar will be run by the Asociación Juvenil Cofrade Senatus Marbella. There, a thousand reusable cups will be sold together with the first drink, at an additional cost of one euro. According to the Youth councillor, Alejandro González, everything raised with that extra euro will be donated to Triple A.
The councillor has stated that the initiative "maintains the event's charitable commitment to different groups in the municipality and combines support for social organisations with the promotion of sustainable habits". He also noted that the reusable cups help reduce the use of plastics and give visibility to associations that carry out work of interest to the city, as happened last year with the Centro de Atención a la Diversidad Infantil (CADI).
What it means for those attending
Those who attend the festival will be able to collaborate with Triple A by buying one of the cups at the bar. The price of that drink will be one euro more than usual, and that amount is what goes entirely to the association.
An anniversary with a charitable purpose
The festival turns 40 and thus maintains the formula of linking its bar to a different social organisation in each edition, as was done in the previous one with the CADI. The date is Saturday, October 24, from 16.00 hours, in La Represa park.
