The University of Málaga adds to its bibliographic collection an India Library with more than 10,000 books dedicated to ancient India and its later tradition. The collection is integrated into the Asia Library housed in the Faculty of Social and Labour Studies (FEST) on the Teatinos campus, according to the academic institution.
What can be consulted
The volumes cover the fields of study of ancient India and its tradition, including Sanskrit and other languages, Indo-European studies, philosophy, literature, Buddhism, Hinduism and yoga.
The collection comes from donations from three specialists' libraries: the French professor Michel Angot, the professor emeritus of the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) Johannes Bronkhorst and the professor emeritus of the University of Michigan Madhav Deshpande. Other smaller contributions are added to these, among which the University highlights that of John D. Smith, of the University of Cambridge.
